Andyland CD’s receive Disney Family’s IPMA Awards!
I’m very excited to announce that Return To Andyland and Summer In Andyland have received the 2008 "i" Parenting Music Award with “HOT” distinction!
I’ve put my heart and soul into these CD’s, and it makes me very happy to know that getting an award from a Disney Family-owned organization gives me the potential of getting my music and the Andyland message out to many, many more people!

Bedtime Theater, Update for 2009 - To this year’s attendees- you and your pajama-clad kids were awesome! I know that this year’s show sold out right away and some that wanted to attend couldn’t. So next year, we’re scheduling a second show as well so everyone can get in. -----------------------UPDATE 7/10/2008 ---------------------

The approximate attendance was 2000, and let me tell you- there’s nothing like seeing Stafford Park packed from front to back, and families having a blast!

KGO-TV clips from benefit show on-line - The 11/19/06 Andyland Band concert which raised over $6,000 to help kids in Darfur, Sudan, did get some news coverage.

It's been a while since I've typed to you, but that's only because there is SO much going on in Andyland this year. We've been busy booking, and 2008 promises to be a year filled with great new shows and venues. See the 2008 quicklist and check them out. And I'm very excited to announce that the "Return To Andyland Live" Demo DVD is in the works, and that I'm finally in the preparation stage for my first full-length DVD, "Welcome To Andyland". I'll keep you posted.

One more quick note: the Images page will be updated soon with 2007, 2008 show pics and more, so visit often!

- "Pumpkin Patch" on Today Show again - As I mentioned last month, "Pumpkin Patch" was the lead-in song for a few Halloween segments Thursday (10/24) on NBC's Today Show. Again, if you’d like to hear more and maybe even see Andy Z on the Today Show, send them an email

- Big Plans for 2008! - I have many projects lined up for 2008 and beyond, and many are based on you and your kids' suggestions. One immediate release will be "Ooga Booga" the single. This award-winning song will eventually be included on my upcoming Halloween CD.

Also scheduled for release as a single is "Slippery Fish, The Song" a dance mix of sorts with no interruptions from Sanjay Squid!

A TV show and an Andyland DVD are also on my "A" list. As one of my dear friends and fans said "I want my Andy Z!" (nice MTV reference). That will be my slogan in 2008.
Speaking of "the tube", Andyand's own Cecil, The Serpentine Dragon , has been spotted on YouTube. It's a short segment created by a fan that incorporates my song.

Summer In Andyland UpdateThe target release date for the new CD is late Spring. Those of you who have attended my recent shows are already familiar with some of the new songs, and there are more coming. This latest tour features boogie boarding at the beach, a 4th of July Parade down Main Street, rides & attractions at the Andyland Amusement Park… and oh yeah…fireworks!
1/27/07 The 4th of July parade has concluded, and I am currently at the “Amusement Park” leg of our tour, which begins with a Roller Coaster ride and song to match!

Little Andy Z's
I've been hearing about more Andy Z sightings from parents everywhere. This is the 3rd song from "Return To Andyland" to get an award and I couldn't be happier!
"Galaxy Song" won 1st place in the nationwide 2006 West Coast Songwriter's Song Contest - Children's" category. It placed 14th overall!

"MR CRICKET" GETS NATIONAL AWARD!
Yes, "Mr. Cricket In The Thicket" has received an 2005 Great American Song Contest Honors Award This was out of 10,000 plus songwriters, some submitting multiple songs.

"SCARECROW" GETS HONORABLE MENTION"
Andy's song "Scarecrow has won Honorable Mention in the "Children's" category in the 2005 International Songwriting Competition (ISC)
"ISC received almost 15,000 entries from 82 countries throughout the world, so this acknowledgement of the song by ISC and its judges is a noteworthy achievement." says Candace Avery, founder and director of ISC.

Yes, story boards are being created for a DVD based on the new CD! I'm very excited about this new project and from what I've heard, a lot of you are too. I'm shooting for a March/April 2006 release.
